TOTVS brings the novelties of Brazilian interactive Digital TV to IBC 2012 in Amsterdam

TQTVD's director will lecture on the use of Ginga standard in the evolution of Multi-Screen TV.

TQTVD - TOTVS unit for Digital TV - will participate in the 2012 edition of the IBC (International Broadcasting Convention), the premier annual event for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment and news content worldwide, attracting around 50,000 participants from over 160 countries.

As part of the Brazilian pavilion at the fair, TOTVS will bring to Amsterdam the newest technology in Digital TV interactivity from Brazil. Besides presenting the middleware AstroTV as an option for manufacturers who want to have a complete entertainment platform in a single software solution, the company will focus on the Second Screen feature, which allows an application installed on tablets or smartphones to detect when a broadcaster is transmitting interactive content suitable for viewing on such devices and present it to the user.

David Britto, director of TQTVD, will attend the IBC conference presenting the paper Using The Ginga Standard For The Evolution Of Multi-Screen TV in which he will show the potential of Ginga as a tool to bring interactivity to multiple screens. The lecture will take place on September 7th from 15:30 to 17:00 in the session Mobile Multimedia - The Re-Emerging Market.
